Overview
Steve Guttenberg and Alley Sheedy co-star in this high-tech comedy adventure about Number Five, a robot who escapes into the real world after he short-circuits in an electrical storm and decides that he's human. Because he's carrying destructive weapons, the Defense Department and his designer (Guttenberg) are desperate to find him. But Number Five is being protected by a young woman (Sheedy) who is teaching him a gentler way of life.

Easter Eggs
Usually not a big hidden feature proponent, Image Entertainment has actually hidden some additional footage on their release of the robot comedy 'Short Circuit.'

Well hidden within the menu structure, these interview clips are a bit tricky to find, but easy to access if you know how.
From the disc's main menu, go to the 'Features' submenu and there keep going to the next page until you find an entry for the 'Cast & Crew Biographies' - don't confuse it with the 'Cast & Crew Interviews.' When you enter this area you will find biographies for Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg, Fisher Stevens and director John Badham. Access any of their biographies and when the text screen comes on, press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control. The screen will turn black and you will see a short interview snippet with the according person before you are transferred back to the biography screen.
