Overview
ON THE SHOULDER OF GIANTS - APOLLO 17
Astronauts: Eugene A. Cernan, Ronald E. Evans and Harrison H. Schmitt. Launch Date: December 6, 1972. You have just come aboard the Apollo 17 journey to Taurus - Littrow, the final lunar landing mission in the Apollo Program. You will witness the highlights of the mission and how it will relate to Skylab, the Apollo/Soyuz link-up and the Space Shuttle. You will relive this flight with the astronauts. A must for your collection.

MISSION OF APOLLO-SOYUZ
The precedent setting mission between the United States and the Soviet Union. The film treats the scientific and technological achievements and stresses the spirit of cooperation and friendship. It concludes with a projection on the future of international cooperation in space over scenes of the Space Shuttle and the European developed Spacelab.

SKYLAB THE FIRST 40 DAYS
This film records the launch of unmanned Skylab 1 on May 14, 1973, and the mission-threatening problem resulting from the loss of the meteoroid heat shield. The fabrication of materials and the equipment used in the repair operation is graphically documented, followed by the installation of the parasol after the launch and docking of the manned SL-2 with the SL-1 workshop. Also included are on board sequences of the daily work routines and some of the experiments.

FOUR ROOMS, EARTH VIEW
Skylab was the first United States manned space station, man's boldest step toward future colonization of space. This is the very story of the three missions, the nine astronauts and their 171 days in the manned laboratory. Criss-crossing 70 percent of the Earth's land area, Skylab's sensors gathered information about many features of Earth. Perhaps one day mankind will be ordering a new home in space with four rooms, Earth's view. Actor E.G. Marshall is host, and moderator.
